    Abstract

    This installation works consists of three architectural model boxes of early Twentieth Century Cinemas. Each box, which viewers look through, present a series of short films interlaced with verbatim recordings of people's experience of cinema viewing in the 1920s, 30s and 40s. The recordings were made in in the early 1990s. The project is part of the AHRC funded Cinema Memory and the Digital Archive.
