Abstract

The Edge of Tomorrow: Prometheus Terminal is an interactive game in which participants play a hacker and must navigate the environmental effects caused by their data footprints whilst carrying out a cyber-attack. The game's main aim is to make the intangible consequences of data choices tangible, particularly the consequences that data-driven CO2 emissions have upon the natural environment. This research was funded by the EPSRC PETRAS National Centre of Excellence for IoT Cybersecurity and produced in collaboration with project partners BBC R&D.
