Project Details
Description
In this project, the COSA CFD software for renewable energy applications developed by Dr. Campobasso and his team is used for the investigation of several outstanding problems of renewable energy, including the optimal hydrodynamic design of oscillating wings for tidal energy applications, and the effects of yawed wind and atmospheric wind shear on wind turbine power generation. The project is made possible by the award of a substantial amount of computing time on the ARCHER national computing service based at EPCC in Edinburgh.
