I am a doctoral researcher in Health Economics and Policy at Lancaster University, supported by a full studentship from the NIHR Global Health Research Centre for Non-Communicable Disease Control in West Africa, where I also serve as a quantitative researcher. My work focuses on evaluating interventions to strengthen primary healthcare systems and improve the early detection and management of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) across West Africa.

I hold both my undergraduate and master’s degrees in economics from the University of Ghana, where I developed a strong foundation in economic theory, quantitative analysis, and policy evaluation. Building on this training, I apply an interdisciplinary perspective to the study of health systems, adolescent and youth health, and sustainable development.

My research and consultancy experience spans Ghana, Niger, Burkina Faso, Rwanda, and South Sudan. I have led or contributed to studies on adolescent sexual and reproductive health, mental health, school health policy, and service availability and readiness for NCD care.

I currently serve as Lead for Research and Policy at Rewrite to Build Africa, a sustainability-focused think-and-do tank advancing evidence and advocacy on climate change, health, education, and employment across the continent. I am also a collaborator with the Global Burden of Disease Project at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME).

My research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including BMJ Global Health, BMC Public Health, and PLOS ONE. I regularly present at international conferences such as the African Health Economics and Policy Association (AfHEA) and the International Health Economics Association (iHEA).

Honours and awards I have received include the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene Early Career Research Grant, the Ghana National Petroleum Commission Scholarship, and the Citizens’ Initiative Fellowship.

I welcome collaboration on research that advances universal health coverage, strengthens adolescent health services, and evaluates innovative financing models to build more equitable and resilient health systems in low- and middle-income countries.
