Personal profile

SUMMARY of research interests (100 words)

My research interests lie in the investigation of cognitive development in utero and throughout the first year of life. I joined Lancaster university after being awarded an ESRC 1 + 3 studentship to investigate the effects of the social environment on infant understanding of numeracy and object permanence. I was then awarded a Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellowship to investigate the processing of social stimuli in utero. Since then, I have continued to lead on the multi-disciplinary investigation of the effect of the prenatal environment on later infant perceptual and cognitive development.
