PhD projects

I am always looking for enthusiastic candidates for PhD projects. A couple of ideas for projects I am planning to run in the next few years are:

http://www.lancaster.ac.uk/physics/research/particle-and-accelerator-physics/experimental-particle-physics/#d.en.349067

The possible PhD projects are not restricted to those listed on that website, and I will be happy to consider and discuss another project in neutrino physics.

Personal profile

SUMMARY of research interests (100 words)

My research interests are in particle physics, and some of the current topics I investigate are:

  • Resonance excitations and pion production in neutrino-nucleus interactions.
  • Hyperon production in neutrino interactions.
  • Nuclear effects in neutrino scattering.
  • Neutrino magnetic moment search.
  • Search for Dark Matter.

My research-related activities are

  • Development of simulation software for neutrino interaction (leading author on NuWro generator and contributor of the resonance production model for the GENIE and NUANCE generators)

  • Development, construction and installation of particle physics detectors (current: DUNE, SBND and DarkSide-20k. Past: NOvA, SMRD, HPTPC)

I am a member of DUNE, SBND, MicroBooNE and DarkSide-20k experiments.
