Current Research
Research Interests:
Research in later life, care of older people, public involvement and engagement in research, creative participatory approaches in health and care research. Predominately working with qualitative methodologies, with experience of national, mulit-institution funded studies of health and social care services, and mixed methods approaches. Majority of studies have involved contact with vulnerable and underserved groups of people, and sensitive areas of research, including elder abuse, older homelessness, dementia care, end of life, family carers, older people living in residential care and survivors of flood disaster.
