Available for supervising PhD students willing to conduct research on optimisation of large-scale real-life problems using mathematical modelling, (meta)heuristics, simulation and other advanced decision-making approaches. I have a special interest on shared-use (e-)mobility and problems related to (sustainable) transport and (green) logistics.

SUMMARY of research interests (100 words)

My research is focused on optimising real-life problems by using mathematical models. I use one or a few large scale mixed integer linear programming formulations and some other optimisation tools to model and solve problems (close to) optimality. The current problems I am dealing with are from the areas of public and shared-use transport, offshore windfarms, airport slot allocation, waste routing and hazardous material transport.
