SUMMARY of research interests (100 words)

Arran Plant is currently working at Lancaster University as a Research Associate investigating Heterogeneous Catalysts for the regeneration of NADH and NAD+ cofactors, whilst incorporating CO2 gas for carbon dioxide utilization (CDU) purposes. He has recently completed his PhD at Lancaster University supported by the EPSRC. His research interests cover topics in radiation chemistry, catalysis, process engineering, and electrochemistry. His doctoral work focussed on the valorization of glycerol using waste neutron and gamma ionization energy from nuclear reactors, introducing the concept of a nuclear-biorefinery. During his doctoral studies, he has also gained significant experience in developing high-pressure, electrolytic cells for CO2 reduction.
