The surface is the interface between a material and the surrounding environment. Though a few nanometres thick, it influences the material performance.
I'm interested in polymerisation approaches (plasma and thermal polymerisation) to functionalise surfaces with nanoscaled coatings for anti-biofouling, anti-viral and catalysis purposes
