Our chronological range extends from the ninth to the twentieth century, our geographical spread encompasses Europe, Asia, North Africa, and the Americas, and our intellectual foci range across social, political, economic, and cultural history. We host large AHRC-funded research projects, a prestigious Newton International Fellowship, and two academic journals. We mount several research symposia a year and our annual postgraduate conference Histfest attracts contributions from across the UK and beyond.
