UHMBT End of Life Strategy/Priorities  

Description

As a Public Governor at the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust, I contributed at a strategic level to discussions on the Trust’s End of Life Care Strategy. In this role, I provided a public and community perspective while drawing on my expertise in palliative care to highlight the importance of person-centred care, clear communication with patients and families, and equitable access to end-of-life services. My contributions focused on strengthening links between clinical practice, community needs, and compassionate care approaches. I have also been invited to join the strategy’s working group to further support the development and implementation of these priorities across the Trust.
