The ‘Art’ of Resistance

Activity: Talk or presentation typesPublic Lecture/ Debate/Seminar

Description

I presented ‘The ‘Art’ of Resistance’ as part of an interactive online public lecture ‘Environmental law for the future: Can we solve the climate emergency?’ with several colleagues from the Law School as part of the
Festival of Social Sciences 2021.
This presentation explored the role that public expressions of resistance such as 'art' and protest are used by individuals and communities to advocate for/promote action in response to climate change using the activism related to Freeman's Wood as a case study.
