Powered by Place: Regional Innovation & Ecosystem Resilience

This workshop invites active stakeholders to explore the future of our region’s innovation ecosystem. Using the Future Scenario Planning Toolkit, developed through Lancaster University's I-Connect research project and the Innovation In Practice Starter Kit designed by Groundswell Innovation, participants will engage in strategic thinking and practical action planning around the roles, opportunities, and needs of the local economy.

Featuring lightning talks from ecosystem-builders such as Electech Cluster, True North and Northern Reach, we’ll hear real-world case studies of regional aspiration and success; and how place-based clusters of interest already balance local advantages and constraints. These insights will serve as launchpads to collectively imagine how we can work to create thriving place-based futures.
